EIBA rankings

Congratulations to Duncan Hanmore and Wayne Cheeseman, who in the newly published EIBA rankings are in positions 27 (144 points) and 87 (60 points) respectively.

National mixed pairs

Commiserations to Jane Cogle and Duncan Hanmore who reached the semi finals of the EIBA Mixed Pairs, losing to the last year's winners Melanie Haylett and Tim Stone for the second year in succession.

Having defeated Carol Brown and Martin Coles from Watford 20-8 in the first round, they had another comfortable win 20-6 over Thornbury's Sue Latham and Mike Humphries.

In the quarter final they overcame England International Brett Morley and partner from Nottingham 19-17.

As I type the final is being played with the Acle pair taking on Helen Tuohy and Barry Jenkins of Egham.

National Fours

Peter Harris, Roger Richfield, Howard Dickson and Paul Gent have qualified for the National Fours Finals at Nottingham after beating Thanet's Bob Taylor, Paul Proctor, Bradley Drake and Terry Coker 18-15 in the Area 29 Final.

They now face four young lads from Mid Suffolk in the first round on Friday March 27th at 9.30 am. If anyone is interested in coming along to support, please e-mail and Paul will provide details for you.
