Summer Matches

We take this opportunity to pay a warm tribute to our SUMMER CAPTAIN, CYRIL STARES. Cyril has been our Summer Captain for the last 8 years, and he has done a fantastic and tremendous job. People do not realise just how hard our Captains have to work to make sure that our fixtures are honoured, and our teams selected and transported to matches here, there and everywhere! All this has been done under the leadership of Cyril. We owe him a big vote of thanks.

 We are delighted that Cyril is going to remain on the Summer Committee, and are pleased to inform you that BRIAN SIMPSON will be taking over as the Summer Captain next Season.

 At the same time, we have to announce CHRIS BAILEY has given notice that he will be retiring as our Summer Treasurer after the AGM to be held in October, so we are keen to find someone to replace him. Chris has done sterling work over a period of 20 years and we are very, very grateful to him.
